04 The Framework

From stuck to submitted.

A digital framework for corporate professionals who have something to write (a deck, an article, a pitch) and can't get started. In one sitting, go from blank page to finished draft. No coaching, no community, no calls. Just the tools, in your hands.

The problem

The thing is mostly done in your head.

A deck that's been sitting in your drafts since March. An article you've told three people you're working on. A proposal that would actually change things at work. If you ever finished it.

It's not that you don't know what to say. You do. You've thought about it in the shower, on the subway, at 11pm when you can't sleep.

The problem is the page. Every time you open a blank document something happens. You write a sentence, delete it. You open three tabs of research you don't need. You decide you need to think about it more first. You close the laptop.

Six months later, the thing still isn't written.

"I've been working on this deck for two months. I keep starting over."

If you've said this (or thought it) about anything in the last quarter, the framework was built for you.

The reframe
You don't have a writing problem. You have a friction problem. AI doesn't solve a talent problem — but it's exceptional at solving a friction problem.

— Leigh, the reframe at the heart of the framework

What it is

A three-part framework. One sitting.

You bring the idea. The framework provides the structure. AI handles the friction. You leave with something finished.

Total time One sitting. 2 to 4 hours, depending on the project.
Output A complete, submittable draft.
Format PDF with one continuous worked example threaded through all three parts.
Part i.

The Brain Dump Protocol — expanded

Get everything out of your head before you write a word. If you've run the free Brain Dump, you already know the first three passes. This is the expanded version: the same proven passes plus two more (a stress test and the hand-off that feeds straight into Part ii), worked examples throughout. Most people skip this. It's why they stay stuck.

Part ii.

The Architecture Pass

The build list from Part i becomes a rough draft. You match the list to a structural shape, give every item a slot, and run the fill loop: hand AI your raw thinking for each piece, judge what comes back, correct by adding thinking. The fill loop is Move 3, and it's the core of the framework. Most of what you're paying for is learning that loop well enough to run it on autopilot. You leave Part ii with a complete rough draft, every section filled with your actual thinking, ready for the edit.

The fill loop works with any AI setup. With a Voice Profile installed, it returns drafts already in your voice, so the "make it sound like you" work in Part iii is mostly done before you get there. That profile is what the Voice Kit builds, once, with the Voice DNA Method.

~90 minutes
Part iii.

The Submission Edit

The rough draft becomes submittable. Five short passes in a deliberate order: cut what doesn't earn its place, sharpen what's vague, strip the AI tells the fill loop missed, make it sound like you (not a competent stranger), then read it once as the recipient before you send. Subtraction, not rewriting. Most of the thinking was already done in Parts i and ii. This is the work that separates the draft you have from the one you actually send.

Included · runs in your hub

You don’t just read it. You run it.

Part i isn’t only a PDF. Your purchase unlocks the Digital Brain Dump in your hub: the interactive tool that runs all five passes in your account. It keeps the clock, saves as you go, and hands you the ordered build list that feeds the Architecture Pass. Type it, or speak it. The PDF is the reference. The tool is where the work happens.

finishbyfri.day/hub/brain-dump
The Digital Brain Dump in voice mode, Pass 1: a running timer and the spoken dump appearing as separate lines in the transcript field, one thought per line.

1. Dump it. Type or speak, one thought at a time. The clock keeps you moving.

finishbyfri.day/hub/brain-dump
The Digital Brain Dump, Pass 2 — the sort: each dumped thought is now a separate row tagged MUST, NICE, or CUT, so the writer can see what is required to ship.

2. Sort it. Tag each one MUST, NICE, or CUT. Now you know what should ship.

A worked example

A Q3 board deck, three weeks late.

Before — the stuck version

One enormous, undifferentiated dread. Every time it's opened, a slide gets reworded and the file gets closed.

"Do they even want the competitor slide?"

"How do I open: with the win or the problem?"

"I don't know how to land the ending."

After Part i — a build list
  1. Open — lead with the win (3 of 5 OKRs), name the two misses honestly
  2. Q3 scorecard — done, in one pass
  3. Revenue + margin — the story, and the one number to fetch first
  4. The ask — why the hire pays for itself in two quarters
  5. Close — still the hardest piece, but now one piece, in a known spot

Twenty minutes earlier this was a three-weeks-late dread. Now it's a sequence with one slide already done and exactly one fact to look up. That's Part i. Parts ii and iii take this same project the rest of the way to a finished deck: one continuous worked example, start to sent, so you see the framework do what it claims at every step.

Fit check

Who this is actually for.

It's for you if

  • You have a specific thing to create, not a vague feeling that you should write more.
  • You're skeptical of AI output that sounds like AI output. So are we.
  • You want to finish the thing, not just feel better about not finishing it.
  • You'd rather buy a framework than book a call.

It's not for you if

  • You don't actually have a project. Come back when you do.
  • You're looking for someone to write it for you. That's not what this is.
  • You want a community or accountability group. We don't run those.
  • You expect a coach attached. There isn't one.

This product is intentionally narrow. It does one thing and it does it well.

Questions, answered

FAQ

Do I need to know how to use AI tools?

No. The framework tells you exactly what to do, step by step. If you've ever used ChatGPT or Claude (even once) you have everything you need.

Which AI tool does the framework use?

The framework is tool-agnostic. It works with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Copilot. Pick whichever you have access to. The prompts are written to work across all of them.

What if I don't have a specific project yet?

Come back when you do. This framework is for finishing a real thing, not for exploring whether you might want to write something someday.

How is this different from the Friday Library?

The Framework is the tool for one specific thing you have to finish this week: one presentation, one proposal, one article. The Library is the shelf you buy when you've realized the same kind of stuck keeps happening across different projects. If you have exactly one thing on your desk right now, start here. If you've solved this shape of project twice already and you know you'll have another one next month, look at the Library.

How long does it take?

One sitting. 2 to 4 hours depending on what you're creating. A LinkedIn article is closer to 2. A full presentation deck is closer to 4.

Is this a subscription?

No. One payment. You own the framework.

What if it doesn't work?

Seven days, full refund, no questions. Email [email protected] within 7 days of buying and we refund in full. That's the whole process.
